The Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) at Argonne National Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the field of hybrid quantum computing. This exciting project focuses on developing a cutting-edge hybrid quantum computing platform that integrates entangled superconducting qubits with single electron-on-neon (eNe) qubits.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and fabricate superconducting transmon qubits and electron-on-neon qubits.
Characterize quantum devices using a millikelvin dilution refrigerator.
Collaborate with team members and external partners to conduct quantum computing experiments.
Develop reinforcement learning models to improve gate fidelity.
Leverage CNM’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the nanofabrication cleanroom and the Quantum Matter and Device Lab’s dilution refrigerator, for advanced quantum experiments.
The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative team, working closely with scientists at Argonne, the University of Chicago, and other external collaborators.
